How will you clean up? Once you've made the commitment to use cloth diapers, it is easy to add cloth wipes and other reusable diapering accessories.

It makes sense! While you're simplifying, why not just cut up old towels or washcloths.

Easy. Just toss the wipes in the pail with the diapers.
Versatile. Wipes and cloths can be used for diaper clean up, face washing, bath time, or any time. Or use them as diaper doublers. There is no dedicated use for a nice square of cloth.

All you really need is water. But you may decide you want to add a tiny squirt of soap or a drop of essential oil, depending on your baby's needs.

Use enough solution that the wipes are just damp. You can also keep the solution in a spray bottle by the changing table and keep only water on the wipes so you can use the wipes for a quick face wash as well as bottom wiping.

Basic Wipes Solution:

1 cup of distilled or boiled water
up to 1 tablespoon vegetable-based soap (Dr. Bronner's liquid castille soap, for example)
1-2 teaspoons vegetable-based oil (apricot, olive, grapeseed, almond)
1 teaspoon 100% aloe vera
a drop or two of essential oil
